Hi  I purchased a glue dot snail in the hardware section of Walmart.  It is easy for me to use with only one hand and the hold is strong.  I like it much better then craft glue dots.  Hope this helps someone else.  JeanREAD MORE

What is your "must have" art supply for art journaling?

Started by Laura Thykeson. Last reply by Sharon Nelson Mar 11. 15 Replies

AAhhh...! If I had to pick, it would have to be my permanent markers, I guess. Either that or my opaque watercolors. I have recently become very attached to them for journaling. They are great for backgrounds!

Hey Art Journalers, just wanted to let you know that you can enter images of your art journal pages for a chance to appear in an upcoming book by North Light (an imprint of F+W Media). It's free to enter and they're accepting commissions through April 16, 2014. Read more about it here: http://www.createmixedmedia.com/editors-picks/art-journal-kickstart...

Another question to you journal artists, when doing watercolour in a journal, is it okay to paint watercolour without the paper buckling or should I paint on watercolour paper and then stick it in?

Also, will disappear soon for a couple of days as I will be changing computers.  I have an XP that is going and my daughter sent me her old Vista. Don't know how I will do on that, but will figure it out I am sure.  I would like to put 7 on it but that is no in the cards right now.  I have to get all the stuff moved from this old on to that one and, long story, having a problem doing that.  I am trying not to loose stuff..

Hi Renea.  I do have stuff to start art journaling, but don't know where it is.  Right now I am doing nothing.  I need to find a place to live to get out of this mold.  It is freezing in here where the termites ate the floor, heat bill is way to high, and it is awfully cold to move.  I feel like I am I am in limbo.  I am going to keep looking though.  I have the books, paper, paint, watercolors, pencils. and stuff like that.  I just don't have any little pieces or pictures, etc., to add to it. Guess I could just make one when I get to the stuff to write on.  It is too cold for rummage sales or anywhere else I can think of.  I do have to go a ways in a few days where there is a Michael's.  Might pick up some stuff in their sales bins. Just have to see what I can find.

My cat hates this guys motorcycle. lol  She lays in my lap a lot and she goes about a foot in the air, claws in my legs, and runs out of the room.  She comes back and just gets settled down, nap started and it goes again.  I gave up for the time being as I have nothing to lay in my lap.  Time to clip the nails...Maggie

If you look around in here you will find all kinds of ideas. Also, go to YouTube and search for art journaling and you will find  lot more.  You can get lost in there for hours.  There are so many ideas, what you will need, and even how to make your on journals very easy.
