Welcome

Share your doodle art, tips, techniques, tutorials, favorite tools and materials...anything at all to fuel our passion for doodling!

Click here to learn how to upload images into your forum posts (which is important so that people can see your art within the post, rather than as an attachment link beneath your post).

Here are some tips for where to post in the group:

  • If you're just dropping by to say hello and share your latest doodle, you can post in the Show & Tell section by typing into the text box at the bottom of this screen.  The Show & Tell area is best when you aren't necessarily looking for a response to your post.
  • On the other hand, if you want to start a discussion and exchange thoughts and ideas with other members, it's usually best to create a new discussion by clicking the "Add a Discussion" button at the bottom of the Discussion Forum section of this page.

Just a few guidelines:

  • Please keep all discussions relevant to doodle art.
  • Be friendly and considerate in your posts.
  • Please respect copyright when posting images. The Art Colony moderators reserve the right to remove any content if there are copyright concerns.  If you have any questions about copyright, please contact one of the moderators.  We're here to help!

Thanks for joining, and most of all, have fun!

Hello everyone. This is my new doodle, "patchwork" lots of fun to do. Worked in pen and pencil, hope you enjoy it.

Thank you Donna, and Pat. When cropping the photo I lost the full curly cues. It was fun to do.

I have a few more to post soon.

Everyone's doodles are wonderful here - so much talent.

Donna and Barbara - thanks so much for kind words and great suggestions...I do one of these every evening, so now have books of them, both color and b/w - I used a bunch of them to put inspirational sayings on and made a journal for my granddaughter (age 9) - I keep intending to do a journal for myself, but just end up sitting and doodling! ha

Lovely work Peg. A suggestion, don't colour the black and white one unless or until you are sure that's what you want to do, it is gorgeous the way it is. Your coloured one is beautifully worked, with wonderful patterns and designs.. love them both.

Comment by Donna Duquette on March 2, 2014 at 12:35pm
Wow, Peg, they are both wonderful. I totally agree...it's hard to decide whether to color or not. I often will scan my artwork and color a copy so that I don't need to make a big decision!

Alexis, love yours...the curly cues on the corners really add a nice touch. Great idea to draw while watching tv!
