"Hi Elizabeth, your painting is great but you say you are intimidated? Common, it is a wonderful work. And most of us are self taught. I have no clue about painting and yet I love painting when the mood hits me. Keep the good work comming. I am…"

"Having teachers is a good / not so good thing. You can learn so much from them but sometimes, you also have to put up with their ego. That is pretty much life in general. Learn that it is all right to be criticized, learn from it and let the other…"

"Yes, yes, yes :-). I had to learn to be patient and loving with myself. And the most important thing is that WE love what we painted. It doesn't matter so much what others say. In my art class I show my teacher sometimes what I did at home. He…"

"It looks really cool, I like it. One thing I was told by my art teacher, because I was doing something similar, is, don't use too many different colors and balance them well in the whole picture. Look at some pictures from Piet Mondrian, they…"

Profile Information

A few things about me...

My name is Elizabeth McGlasson (I am also known as Red Sangre.) I am a Multi-Media, 3D Graphics Artist, Digital Painter and Avid Crafter from Las Vegas, NV, and I have been creating my art since 2000.  In the beginning, I focused mostly stylized artwork rendered in 3D, my digital work brings to mind the darker imaginings of gothic horror, fairy tales and fantasy scenes. My primary influences are the works of Brom, Brian Froud, Julie Bell, Dorian Cleavenger and Amy Brown to name just a few.

My award winning 3D/Digital work has been featured on everything from coffee mugs to custom tattoos. I was recently interviewed in the second issue of Collective Consciousness, a magazine celebrating upcoming Digital Artists and was showcased in the successful European publication Forbidden Whispers. In addition, my work has been on display in the prestigious on line gallery Ascent Aspirations. In 2006, I was one of the top 8 winners of the 3 Dimensional Master's Award 2006 given to me by the readers of Future-Art Magazine.

In 2008, I began to break away from the digital world and began my Painting & Crafts business, simply called "Red Sangre's Artworks". Specializing in quirky crafts, folk style impressionistic paintings and shabby chic re-purposed art. It's main purpose is bring fun to people's lives and homes.

When I am not creating art, I spend time with Brett, my husband of 15 years and our son Miles, along with our three dogs; Lucy, Taco and Halo.
