Yay! Isn't it a wonderful feeling? Here's to many, many more sales, Aubrey. Your work is super.

Wow Audrey, that is so fantastic. Keep up the great work, and the best of luck in your future sales. Kip

Wow!  How exciting!  Make sure you take a picture of it for your records, and possible first exhibition book!

How did your buyer find you?  And how did you decide on the price?

@Ev - It IS! I still can't believe it.... Thank you so much! :D

@Kip - Thank you! It's really motivated me to work harder. :)

@Adrienne - She's a friend of my brother's and she's been watching my facebook page. Every time I uploaded a new painting, she would get more and more serious about wanting some of my artwork. She's moving to a new apartment in spring and she wanted something nice to spruce the place up.

UGH. I ALWAYS worry over price. >.O I based it on how long it took me to paint multiplied by a little more than the minimum wage. I still feel like I might have gone a tad high but my brother (the salesman of the family) feels I went a little low. But it doesn't matter now, it's done. Phew. :P

Have you considered doing some prints for limited edition signed copies to sell?

Comment by Ev McTaggart on December 11, 2012 at 3:23pm

My first sale was to a university friend of my daughter's who is like a second daughter. Now I sell to people (at shows) I don't know--and sometimes to people (on the internet) I have never even met.

Ev, do you always sell originals?

Comment by Ev McTaggart on December 11, 2012 at 4:12pm

So far, yes, I’ve sold originals. I have good scans of all of them and could do prints if I thought there was a market in the future.

Comment by Adrienne Miller on December 11, 2012 at 4:12pm

Did you do the scans yourself at home?  or professionally?

Comment by Ev McTaggart on December 11, 2012 at 7:16pm

I had them done professionally by a friend in the biz.
